Jan van Schoonhoven is an experienced Senior Advisor on Infrastructure strategy development, innovative financing, capacity building and supporting project implementation. His primary role is to develop a consistent and successful pipeline of investment-ready projects for donors, Multilateral Development Banks, and governments.
He contributed to the PPP development in the Netherlands as Director of the PPP Unit, worked for the Intergovernmental organisations, represented, and supported the Netherlands Government at the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, OECD, and G20 on Infrastructure related topics.

PPP NEOM / NCP
Jan van Schoonhoven joined NEOM in August 2022 until April 2023. He is now working for the National Centre for Privatisation and PPPs in Riyadh. He is responsible for developing and supporting the PPP environment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
2020- 2022
ADVISOR EBRD
Jan van Schoonhoven joined the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), London in August 2020. He is principal advisor at the EBRD Sustainable Infrastructure Group (SIP). He supports technical assistance programs, capacity building initiatives, PPP's initiatives and provides infrastructure policy advice in the over 30 countries of the bank's operation.

PPP DELTA COUNTRIES
He was the Program Manager of the PPP and Innovative Financing initiative of the Netherlands Government. in developing investment-ready projects in the Delta Countries. He worked for the Intergovernmental Water Centre (IWC) in The Hague, Water Partnership (NWP), FMO (Foreign Investment Bank), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). In addition, he represented and supported the Netherlands Government at the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, OECD, and G20 on Infrastructure related topics.

DIPLOMATÂ UNECE
Jan was seconded to the United Nations in Genève as Executive Director of the International PPP Centre of Excellence of the United Nations. The centre closely works with the Multilateral Banks (World Bank, EBRD, ADB) and OECD. Based as a diplomat in Geneva, He supported the Sustainable Development Goals' discussions at several UN organisations, like the UNCTAD and WHO and the WTO.

DIRECTOR PPP NETHERLANDS
Before the UN, Jan van Schoonhoven was director of the Netherlands PPP Unit and transformed the PPP environment of the Netherlands from 2 projects (2006) to 20 projects and almost 20 Billion Euro in 2012. High-speed Rail, the second-largest Locks in the World and the second Port of Rotterdam are international know projects.
